Toor2119 - Spoonm - Ida Rub Reverse Engineering
Recorded at the 8th www.ToorCon.org Information Security Conference, Sept 30th and Aug 1st, 2006 at the San Diego Convention Center, San Diego, California. Content produced by www.MediaArchives.com --- IDARUB – REVERSE ENGINEERING WITH RUBY, with spoonm. IdaRub exposes a local and remote Ruby API for interacting with the IDA Pro disassembler. As a youth growing up in the rough streets, spoonm sought shelter in illegally accessing foreign computer systems. This eventually lead to his involvement in the Metasploit project, and then the subsequent federal trials. In his years behind bars, he turned his life around and focused his concentration on reverse engineering software. After numerous fights and giving a guard 'a buck fitty', he found that cracking software for the other inmates was a way he could stay alive. After an elaborate escape, he washed ashore in San Francisco, and is now on his IdaRub fugitive tour.
